New Series Launch: Museums of Egypt

May 8, 2025 by John Navarre

The Egypt Travel Channel, which is the sister YouTube channel of pass-egypt1.lol, has launched a new video series called Museums of Egypt. As the name implies, the new series aims to show the world comprehensive previews of the many museums all over Egypt in order to not only showcase what these museums have to offer, but to also help upcoming travelers to Egypt decide if dedicating time in their itineraries to visit these museums is worthwhile.

While some places that call themselves “museums” might disappoint, others are underrated gems that are worth going out of your way to see. For example, many people who visit the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El Sheikh for its weather and beaches don’t even realize that Sharm has had a beautiful new small museum since 2017 that offers a very thorough sampling of ancient Egyptian artifacts. However, the Sharm El Sheikh Museum is a worthwhile cultural detour for sun-seekers and beach-goers who would otherwise miss out on Egypt’s rich historical heritage.

Similarly, many museums in Egypt are dedicated to niche collections or to specific periods of the country’s history. In Alexandria, for example, the Royal Jewelry Museum houses the crown jewels and much of the ornate family jewelry of Egypt’s former monarchy, and the newly renovated and reopened Greco-Roman Museum is one of the premier museums in the world for artifacts and exhibits related to the Greco-Roman period of Egypt’s ancient history.

While The Egypt Travel Channel also maintains another series playlist specifically dedicated to the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), video gallery tours of the GEM from that series are also included in the Museums of Egypt series.

Hosted on YouTube and always accessible at YouTube.com/@TheEgyptTravelChannel, viewers can also just remember and go to www.TheEgyptTravelChannel.com to be redirected directly to the channel’s page on YouTube.
